Darryl is known as the Dark Knight. He came upon the Super Bassist Bootsy Collins and decided to join the brotherhood. Darryl has played with various bands in San Antonio. These include The Mixx, Diamond DMT, Off The Hook, Kristal & Silver, Willy J’s Blues Band, and now MishMash.
Darryl’s influences include Bootsy Collins, Nathaniel Phillips, Marcus Miller, Victor Wooten, Stanley Clarke, Jaco, Bill Dickens, Louis Johnson, and Ed “Funky Thumb” Riddick. Darryl has combined all these styles of music to lay down the funky bottom of MishMash with his monsterous thumpin’ style!!!
Darryl lays down the funk with MusicMan basses, Gallien Krueger heads, and Hartke cabinets.
